This program improves the lives of individuals and families by providing essential resources and support with workforce development, housing stability services, a community food pantry, financial literacy classes, and referrals for financial assistance to overcome life’s challenges and achieve stability.

Workforce Development

We will offer a dedicated space equipped with laptops and printers for use during job searches, resume creation, and completing job applications.  Additionally, we will provide minor vehicle repairs to ensure that "working families only" can stay employed and have a commute to work.

Housing Stability Services

Our program will focus on preventing evictions and ensuring housing stability. We will offer pro bono court support for those facing eviction, educate families on tenant rights, and act as mediators between tenants and landlords to resolve disputes and avoid homelessness. Our organization is certified as a Housing Stability Legal Advocate through Innovations4Justice and Supreme Court of AZ.

We will continue our community food box distribution at our Goodyear office every Tuesday from 12 pm to 4 pm, and Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm, targeting families facing food insecurity. You may register below or come in person to sign up.

Financial Psychology (3-day class offered 2x a week)

Build a positive money relationship through understanding financial behaviors. Long-term saving and fiscal health start with mindful decisions aligning with goals. GCI's course links stress management to financial satisfaction, our program's mission. 

Savings, Expenses & Budgeting (5-day class offered 2x a week)

Track your money with a budget—it's essential. This course introduces budgeting basics, a crucial life skill for progressing toward your desired lifestyle and financial goals. 

Loans & Debt/Credit Repair (6 to 8 days of classes offered 2x a week)

Learn the importance of credit, how to build/repair it, and how to maintain it. Explore the risks and consequences of different debts. Empower yourself through our credit repair education. 

Income (4-day class offered 2x a week)

Learn effective money management and income generation. Gain basic tools to maximize earning potential in today's job market. Empower your financial success with our course.  

Economic & Government Influences (4-day class 2x a week

Learn tax basics: Introduction, where tax dollars go, legal strategies to reduce liability, income tax, understanding your paycheck, and consumption tax. Empower yourself with tax knowledge. 

Debt Elimination Workshop (8-day workshop 2x a week)

Learn: Analyze your budget, address gaps, manage loans & debt, understand financial psychology, mitigate debt risks, strategize debt payoff, and identify & reduce expenses. Empower your financial skills. 

New Homebuyer Workshop (1-day workshop 2 hours)

In our self-paced Homeownership Workshop, learn essential skills: mortgage basics, buying process, financial readiness, and practical strategies for a successful and sustainable homeownership journey.

Financial literacy

1. What are the cost of classes? 

All classes are free. Our fundraisers and community events bring in funds to ensure longevity of this program. 

2. Where is the location of classes being held? 

Currently classes are being held online via Zoom and in person.

3. How long does it take to complete courses?

Course are held as a package. It will take approximately 3 months to complete classes. We want to ensure each learner understands and can apply each subject taught in financial literacy to their personal lifestyle.
