EVERYONE WHO IS AN ADULT IN THE HOUSEHOLD MUST BE WORKING & DO NOT QUALIFY/NOR RECEIVE FOR GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS PROGRAM! ****
Stuck in the Middle (S.I.M) is a philanthropy model program unlike any other. Our program model focuses on the middle America, those who are not rich enough to make ends meet and are not poor enough to receive funding from government agencies. These are hard-working, dedicated, faithful people and families who encounter an unforeseeable, unexpected financial issue and S.I.M. is here to help them remain solvent. These Americans are Stuck in the Middle (S.I.M.) - and they need assistance.
Program Goal
This program provides financial aid and financial education to Arizona community members who find themselves Stuck in the Middle. These individuals are all around us, tirelessly working to stay afloat, to raise responsible families, and to contribute to society – and they pride themselves on being gainfully employed. However, for a large group of people, their annual income falls just above the poverty line. They are financially poor and do not qualify for government assistance. One unexpected expense can put them on a downward spiral of financial destruction leading to years of debt, losing homes and employment – and ruining opportunities for future generations.
Stuck in the Middle provides opportunities for life. Together with the National Financial Educators Council (NFEC) we offer an economic literacy program unlike any other. Individuals learn about the importance of budgeting and credit scores as well as the long-term psychological
impacts of financial illiteracy. Our unique ability to inspire people of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds has created a learning environment where financial literacy and financial stability thrive. But we can’t do it alone.
With sponsorships from companies/individuals, we can continue to supplement individuals during these times and teach financial literacy necessary to prepare them for life’s surprises. This partnership creates an entirely new sustainability system that supplements the gaps in government programs and society. It saves jobs for the financially poor and finds ways to prevent these situations from happening again.
Let’s take the streets back and build a bridge from poverty and violence to stable financial futures.
~ Gervonni Sherrod Leggett
Gervonni Cares charitable outreach program will provide temporary financial assistance when families connect to GCI’s program opportunities that will make a long-lasting difference. The Urban Institute states 13 million people who live in poverty don’t receive any government assistance.
Gervonni Cares and our SIM program will collaborate with properly designed financial resources whose mission is to work towards increased financial literacy. These connections will provide a long-lasting financial impact with positive results.
